Donations
Thank you for considering supporting the campaign.
Ontario municipal election law establishes specific rules governing contributions to candidates. By making a contribution, you confirm that you are eligible to contribute and that the contribution is being made from your own funds.
For the 2026 Ontario municipal election:
Contributions to a candidate may generally only be made by individuals who are normally residents of Ontario.
Corporations, businesses, trade unions, associations and other organizations cannot contribute to a candidate.
An eligible individual may contribute a maximum of $1,200 to this campaign, including the combined value of multiple contributions, goods or services.
An individual may contribute no more than $5,000 in total to candidates running for the same municipal council.
Only contributions of $25 or less may be made in cash.
Contributions to Ontario municipal candidates are not tax-deductible.
Contributions must come from the contributor's own funds and cannot be made on behalf of another individual or organization.
The campaign is required to maintain records of contributions and issue contribution receipts.
If your total contributions to this campaign exceed $100, your name and address will be included in the campaign's financial statement, which is a public document.
Any contribution that does not comply with applicable election law may be returned or otherwise dealt with as required by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
