I’m a volunteer firefighter, small-business owner, filmmaker, parent, and community volunteer who believes strong communities are built by people willing to show up, lend a hand, and serve their neighbours.

I serve with the Huntsville Fire Department and as Vice-President of the Huntsville Firefighters Association. I’ve helped secure funding for firefighter mental-health initiatives and worked to strengthen support for the men and women who serve our community and their families.

Community service has been an important part of my life for years. I serve on local boards and committees and have helped raise money for schools, charities, and community initiatives. My commitment to service has also been shaped by my involvement with the church and my past work in hospital chaplaincy, where I learned the importance of simply being there for people when they need it.

Professionally, I’ve built a career in film, television, communications, and business, including working with the BBC World Service. I worked my way through school, earning an MBA in International Business and Management, helped grow a media company from five employees to nearly sixty, and eventually built my own production company here in Muskoka. That experience taught me how to manage budgets, bring different people together, create jobs, solve problems, and make limited resources go further.

My values started at home. My father came to Canada as an immigrant and built a small construction business; my mother was a journalist. They taught me that hard work matters, your word matters, and you have a responsibility to give something back. I started working at 13, and whether at the firehall, on a film set, volunteering in the community, or around a boardroom table, I’ve tried to carry those lessons with me.

In 2025, I put my name forward to represent Parry Sound–Muskoka federally. Our campaign achieved one of the strongest gains in rural Ontario. More importantly, knocking on thousands of doors reminded me that the work that matters most often happens closest to home.

That’s why I’m running for Council: to bring my experience in business, budgeting, leadership, and community service to the table; to manage taxpayers’ money responsibly; and to work with my neighbours to prepare Huntsville for the future.
